Ameren Missouri Announces Energy Efficiency Programs for Businesses

ameren

March 1, 2016 began Ameren Missouri’s acceptance of applications for Custom, Retro-commissioning, and New Construction projects.

These incentive projects are now available to Ameren Missouri electric business customers.

All project applications will be held to the new program terms and conditions that can be found in the incentive application.

What To Know

  • The Missouri Public Service Commission approved Ameren Missouri’s plan for a new 3-year cycle of energy efficiency programs through February 28, 2019
  • Standard Incentive program is in development and is anticipated to start within the next 60 days
  • Until the Standard Incentive program becomes available, all project measures can be submitted according to the Custom Incentive program guidelines and will be subject to the pre-approval process.
  • The Custom, Retro-commissioning, and New Construction program guidelines are also available

Custom Programs

Virtually any cost-effective energy project qualifies for a Custom incentive.

These incentives are calculated based on projected annual energy reduction.

For each kilowatt-hour (kWh) that is projected to be saved in the first year, we’ll pay an incentive of $0.06 for lighting projects or $0.07 for non-lighting projects.

Custom incentives require pre-approval before equipment purchase or installation.

New Construction Programs

New Construction incentives are available for customers who are embarking on energy efficient new construction, additions, and renovation projects.

New Construction incentives require pre-approval prior to the design phase of the project.

Retro-Commissioning Programs

Retro-Commissioning (RCx) is the process of optimizing your building’s systems, which requires an extensive facility assessment to explore energy-saving opportunities.

RCx is a good solution for large buildings.

This Program pays $0.02 to $0.03 per kWh for the assessment (depending on the size of the building) in addition to $0.07 per kWh saved on all RCx projects.
You must use a pre-approved RCx service provider (RSP). The RSP willguide you through the application process
