DECEMBER 2020 – COLUMBIA, MO – The National Association of Energy Service Companies (NAESCO) officially certified EnergyLink as an Accredited Energy Efficiency Contractor (EEC). This designation is extremely rare, as evident by the fact that there are only four Energy Service Companies (EnergyLink included) with the designation listed on their website.
Energy Service Companies (ESCOs) design and build holistic energy efficiency projects. ESCOs offer performance-based contracts that tie the compensation of the ESCO to the energy savings generated by the project, such as ESPC and MESA agreements, as a major part of their business.
To gain this accreditation from NAESCO, EnergyLink had to demonstrate the technical and managerial competence to design and build projects involving multiple energy systems, such as:
- Lighting
- Motors and Drives
- HVAC Systems
- Control Systems
- Building Envelope Improvements
EnergyLink also needed to show its ability to provide a full range of services required for a holistic energy efficiency project, including:
- Energy Audits
- Design Engineering
- Providing or Arranging Project Financing
- Construction Management
- Commissioning
- Operations and Maintenance of Energy Efficiency Technologies
- Verifying Energy Savings
The designation cements EnergyLink as an authority in designing and building energy efficiency projects. “This is our first step in taking on bigger, better projects at a much higher scale. As we look to 2021, I’m excited to see where this will take us, and I can’t wait to help more companies become more sustainable, more efficient, and more profitable!” remarked EnergyLink CEO, Chris Ihler.
