Managed energy service agreements

Realize positive cash flow and reduce carbon emissions

In a managed energy service agreement (MESA) a third party owner assumes all responsibility for a large-scale energy project, typically worth $500,000 or more. In exchange the customer avoids large capital expenditures and pays the third party owner a monthly fee  lower than their previous monthly utility bill.

MESA project framework

Customers like commercial & industrial businesses, nonprofit organizations and public schools circumvent challenges with installation, operations and maintenance in a MESA project. They will also benefit from lower utility expenditures. After six years, customers have the option to purchase the system and reap the benefits investors previously took advantage of in this agreement.

Third-party investors benefit from investment tax credit and stable monthly MESA payments from the customer that allow for a swift ROI. MESA projects last from six to twenty years and offer flexible terms that can be tailored to the investor’s timeline.
