Community Health Development serves its community proudly in the heart of Texas. To better maintain the continuity of their health center, EnergyLink will be installing a solar plus battery storage system. The benefits of the project include:

• On-site power generation: 70 kW and 40 kW rooftop solar arrays will be installed at the Community Health Development Uvalde’s Our Health and Wellness Center buildings respectively. This will provide a source of clean, renewable power for the location and reduce the health center’s reliance on the ERCOT electric grid.
• Energy demand reduction: With operations running 24/7, Community Health Development regularly incurs high electric demand charges. To reduce this, an 82 kWh ESS flow battery will be installed. Peak shaving leveraging this technology will reduce facility demand spikes, and allow excess solar power to be stored for later use.
• Job creation: EnergyLink will recruit in and around the Uvalde, Texas area to complete this multi-site project.
